The assumption of who loves football (or indeed, any sport) is given the lie if one reads enough women's blogs; and offline, well, I'm not a fan myself, but neither is my husband or son. Whereas my daughter, courtesy of hanging out with a football fan, IS a fan.

The Sarah Palinization of the media has spilled over into pure shlock, as I've stumbled onto several stories on yahoo concerning the unreasonable focus and support of her daughter Bristol dancing on tv by Sarah's political fanbase, despite her lack of credible dancing ability. (Ok, I know that's pure fluff, but it's illustrative of your point of the misdirection of the news media.)

The Honda windshield news is VERY interesting, and perhaps I can add a little bit of background in speculating on how this new feature may have developed? Several years ago, Toyota's Prius sported a back-up camera, which has subsequently influenced the same development in some high-end vehicles made here in the US, that feature back-up cameras and other aids, such as adding three-colored dashes to screens either in the rear view mirror of on the dash, showing the projected route in which the vehicle is traveling in when backing up.

http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/features/#page=Feature15

Now, with Honda's windshield triangles, it seems like it's just a hop, skip and jump to using that same sort of strategy in going forward!

Well, at least neither Honda, nor Toyota, nor any other automobile manufacturer is building in the St. Christopher medals, or even offering them as an option! That gives me hope! :-)ChrisClickshttp://chrisclicks.us/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2431498412944656953.post-83923107921576343002010-11-24T00:09:45.363-05:002010-11-24T00:09:45.363-05:00LOL @ Deve, I am flying next week, I don't fee...LOL @ Deve, I am flying next week, I don't feel one way or the other about it except that it sure beats and ocean crossing. I'm less worried about dying in the air than I would be about hitting a random iceberg personally. :P

As for the medals, medallions, dolls, rabbits feet, etc, I think we should put them through the same kind of tests we would put normal safety measures through and see how they stand up. My guess is that they will fail in every instance. :PGuns4Toyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11628527042458191163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2431498412944656953.post-38762035688760810562010-11-23T20:13:52.733-05:002010-11-23T20:13:52.733-05:00See, now, if this place had private notes, I could...See, now, if this place had private notes, I could leave a private note saying, "I can see why somebody who doesn't believe in God would not want to get on board an airplane. Where else could the courage to fly come from other than from faith in God?"
But I can't now.Deve of the Junglehttp://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/devenoreply@blogger.com
