I'm not sure what intrigues me more - the idea of dental
parlors or the fact that someone thought kittens were the best animals to use to promote a business with
Buffalo as part of its name.
(The fact that the kittens are mathematically inclined, on the other hand, seems to make perfect sense to me on some subconscious level.)
After much contemplation I've decided that some early advertising company had a service whereby they'd print a customer's name and address and slogan on the customer's choice of presumably memorable picture postcards, perhaps to be sent out for a penny each in an early form of spam.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying this card presages spam. I'd put it in the evolutionary path that culminated with the inane jingles stored away in my brain like don't squeeze the charmin and winston tastes good and I'd walk a mile for a dromedary and those awful Barry Manifold songs like Mandy and Brandy and I'd like to teach the world to toot.
Is there an addressee on the back of card?
