2011 turned out to be our wettest year ever. About 55" of rain fell. That's more than 4 and a half feet of precipitation. A normal year gives us a tad less than 40".

There were, of course, 365 days in 2011. I'm told that liquid of some kind fell on us on almost half of those days. Many of the others were cloudy and/or damp....

The photos in this entry are a reminder to myself that it really doesn't rain here every minute of every day - that there really is a sun in the sky out there somewhere.

I hope I don't need to come back to this entry to be reminded of this fact often during the next 12 months.

But it's good to know it's here now if I do.
